The Sanctuary, a 144 single family residential development situated to the North of Spring Cypress and between Kuykendahl and Ella, is out of bankruptcy court and under development. Initially developed by Wallace Bajjaili Development Partners, the plans for The Sanctuary were to have custom built homes starting in the $450s. But the project never got off the ground and not one home was constructed.
In 2011, D.R. Horton purchased The Sanctuary out of bankruptcy court and began construction. By the end of January, 2012, The Sanctuary will have 4 homes closed and occupied and 5 completed inventory homes ready for move-in.
D.R. Horton is currently building in Section 1 of the 144 lot development. Base home prices start in the low $280s and continue upwards into the low $340s. Average lot sizes are a generous 85 x 125 (10,625 sqft). The homes square footage ranges from 2,620 to 3,556. 8 foot privacy fences are standard unless your home backs to one of the community’s reserve areas.
The annual HOA fee is $875. The tax rate before exemptions is 3.02%. The private, gated subdivision is zoned to the highly acclaimed Klein school district.
